One Hundred Shoreditch (Former Ace Hotel), Shoreditch, London

Planning permission was secured for extensive refurbishment of the former Crowne Plaza on Shoreditch High Street.

In addition to securing a significant alteration to the appearance of the building within a Conservation Area, substantial activating ‘ancillary’ ground-level facilities were introduced.

The 258-room hotel includes a 100-cover restaurant and a 50-capacity adjoining basement bar, with separate street access.

The ground floor is a hallmark of Ace Hotel, designed to act as a space for guests as well as the local community to gather and interact.

The hotel won the ‘Best Renovation’ at the European Hotel Design Awards – 2014.
