Acting as CitizenM’s planning advisor, Planning Resolution secured planning permission for a new 10-storey hotel in Shoreditch for 211 room hotel, with retail, cafe and restaurant.
This development was sensitive due to its proximity to the over ground railway viaduct, its appearance in key townscape views, and its strategic referral to the GLA.
The CitizenM hotel with ground and basement retail will provide a building of 5,000m².
The CitizenM hotel is being built out as part of the first phase of the ‘Shoreditch Village’ development. EllisMiller were the concept architects for the scheme and secured the original planning permission for the wider Shoreditch Village scheme, which included the hotel.
A subsequent Section 96a application worked up with Sheppard Robson Architects post approval secured an additional floor of accommodation on the hotel.
“Planning Resolution have assisted us on a number of our UK projects and provided a professional, knowledgeable and courteous service. A valued part of our UK team.”
